In August 1994, after over 10 years serving and training in the ministry, the commission had come from God to establish a new church in Norfolk, Virginia. This new church had to be one that would bridge the gap between those who lived in urban and public housing areas of the city and those who lived in affluent areas. March 5th, 1995 wittnessed the birth of a new”lighthouse” in the harbor city of Norfolk: Lighthouse Assembly of God.
